This is an exciting rhyming story for 2 to 8 year olds. Written by Jim Henderson and illustrated by Gina Kiel.
It tells how Cracker Jim and Flossie rescue the cows and sheep from the flood. They in turn are rescued by the helicopter as the events unfold.
Jim farmed organically at Whangaehu south of Wanganui for 17 years. Living beside the Whangaehu River meant he sometimes experienced floods such as the one described in this book.
Gina is an illustrator/animator for the Simmonds Brothers and is part of the team that won the SPADA New Film Maker of the Year Award 2006.
