Today we were very lucky to have Cracker Jim come to read and sing songs with all the children at clubhouse. First we listened to a few of Cracker Jims story books that we loved so much we even brought our very own for clubhouse, then we stood up and had a boogie to Cracker Jims music he even showed us a few dance moves of his own. We were introduced to his puppet friends Ba-a-a-a-bara, Cracker Jim, Harry the Hairy Huntaway, Polly Cracker Jims wife and Cracker Jims good friend Flossie the dog. But the best toy that Cracker Jim showed us was the chainsaw that you children thought was just great, so now we have two of our very own at clubhouse that I'm sure will be played with every day. Thanks Cracker Jim so much for all the fun, we cant wait to play with our new toys and read your amazing stories.

I just wanted to let you know what a hit your story "Flossie and the Flood" is with our toddler son Jackson. He will be two in September and he absolutely LOOVES your book! I can not count the number of times we have read it. One of the reasons he loves it so much is the helicopters, The page where there is a rescue chopper he has managed to rip it out of sheer excitement! We will also be placing an order for other books to get some variety. Thanks for a good old Kiwi book. Tineke and Jackson

The stories of Cracker Jim and his animals immediately captured the imagination of the Year 1 and 2 children. They readily responded to the humour and rhyme and loved singing along to the tape. Rural life and community is easily observed in the Manawatu and this feature gives the stories and toys a special appeal. The Cracker Jim toys have taken on a life of their own and they have their own corner of our classroom. There with blocks, boxes and doll house furniture Cracker Jim's house and shed are regularly created. The children talk in character voices and imaginitely turn the floor space into new real life situations for Cracker Jim, Polly and the animals with the four wheel bike being anintegral part. This inventive toy which plugs into the turbine for its power source finds itself carrying assorted loads and taking part in many rigorous farming adventures. The turbines familiar on Manawatu hills are transported to the classroom as a unique and specialised model which has a wow factor and has lead to discussions on environmental issues and sustainability. The stories, toys and music tape are a superb addition to the literacy area of the classroom while providing an opportunity for developing imaginative play opportunities, giving the children a lot of pleasure

Could I order a copy of the new book.Our Pre school loves the first story. We act it out using a Westpac Helicopter which is actually a moneybox.

Got these books for my pre school aged nephews but even my seven year old thought they were awesome. Being off a farm he wanted to know why Cracker Jim din't go home and get some more dogs instead of calling the helicopter!!! Looking forward to seeing more of this series

Hi, I would like to say how great Cracker Jim is. My son who is nearly two has the "Flossie and the Flood" story and CD. Most days he requests to hear the CD and seems to have the book close to him. His favourite part is where the farmbike gets stuck in the mud.He always grabs his toy bike and acts it out. His grandparents have bought him the bike,dog,Jimand the sheep for his birthday which he doesn't know yet. Thank you so much for the Cracker Jim experience and keep up the great work. It is perfect for little farming kids like my wee man
